Giggity

But in all seriousness (**** puns), what would be the best way to do so?
Thanks.

I've been pickin' since the early 70s and the only trannie I ever cleaned was from a 1970 Ford Maverick. I used Gunk engine cleaner and a pressure washer.

Now I do know you are talking about your amp's transformers so I guess I have to ask why. 8)

Only when I am cleaning & then retentioning the tube sockets before changing tubes the most I do is use some compressed air (trying to NOT let it become that cold freeze mist) to dry out any residue from the Deoxit and and blow off any dust in, on, and over the chassis to include the trannys.

Hmmm, are asking about rust, maybe? If so I don't touch that. I have read many pros and cons about leaving rust where it is on the trannys (if that is what you are asking for).

I like to take long, hot baths with mine

Seriously, what are you doing to your amp that they need to be cleaned?

I might be buying a pre 500 with a blackface/chrome setup but the chrome and transformers looks kinda rusted.
