Definately not alone. I prefer the Moving Pictures and older era. Went and saw Rush during the Presto tour, during the encore Alex hits the echo and plays a few bars of 2112 then they walk off stage. Major bummage.

Trying to convince my singer he can sing Rush (he can sing Journey why not Rush) so play Lime Light. Thinking of doing 2112/Temple.

I have been fortunate to see Rush every tour since 1984...9 times. Only the last 3 tours have they played Temples of Syrinx...the last (feedback tour) was 2112 (Overture/Temples of Syrinx/Grand Finale) the two before that (Vapor Trails and Test For Echo) were 2112 (Overture/Temples of Syrinx)

Rush has continued to completely ROCK every tour...in fact, I believe they are better live now than 10 years ago.

About 18 years ago. I was with a buddy at a music/record store that had a Ticketron counter. My friend, a singer, looks up on the listing of concerts and says, "I'd love to see Rush. Have you ever seen them?"
Nope. Says I. "Let's see what tickets are left" The show was that same evening. Junk I'm sure, Nose bleed.
The girl at the counter gives us a 'good luck guys' kinda scowl, as she punches in the Rush ticket availability.
She does a 'double take' and looks at us and says there are four front row slightly off to the side tickets! Need I say more? The promotor or some ticket agency had dumped them back into the system
It was AWSOME.

Rush is one of my all-time favorite bands. I have seen them six times over the years, but it's been over 10 years since the last time. Tours I saw:

Permanent Waves
Grace Under Pressure
Power Windows
Hold Your Fire
Roll the Bones
Counterparts

They opened with the enitre 2112 piece on the Permanent WAves tour. Since then, I've only heard the overture and "Temples" in live show.

I loved last summer's "Feedback" cd. I just wish the next album is new material with the same groove and feel of "Feedback."

I was a huge Rush fan for the longest time during their most "progressive" stage. Then they appeared to have gone mainstream, and I lost interest. But my interest in them resurged a couple of years ago, and consequently my son got nteested them as well. "Rush in Rio" really made me remember why I love the band so much.

Saw the Farewell To Kings tour about 35 years ago. It was the stuff of dreams for a 15yr old. I had never seen such a well-produced show in that era.

I've seen them many times. Always a great show. I'm less thrilled with their current music, but they seem to be having more fun in concert than they used to. I just got tickets!

Count me in!!!
The first concert I ever went to as a kid was Rush. I must have been 16 or 17 years old. It was when they were touring after the release of 2112. A long time ago.
This spring I went out and bought all of their pre Moving Pictures CDs to round out my collection. You can get them pretty cheap now days.
My band used the Rush cover of Eddie Cochran's Summertime Blues as the template when we played that tune. We always got a good response with that one. :)

I have seen Rush on these tours -

2112
Farewell to Kings
Hemispheres
Permanent Waves
Moving Pictures
Signals
Grace Under Pressure
Time Machine

My favorite was the Permanent Waves tour. Great band and still very good live.

:D :D :D Hell yeah!!!! :D :D :D

I only got to see the Counterparts tour. Candlebox opened for them and I was tone deaf for the 1st three Rush songs.
Other than that.....They were the tightest band I have ever seen live!

Saw them for the Hemispheres and Moving Pictures tours...one of the most impressive and well produced shows I've ever been to. It's been too long for me.....need to go see them again-soon!! Lifeson is the reason I play an ES-355  ... there's a lot of Rush in my head just wanting to get out 8)

I have my tickets for the November show!

2112 fold open album, sifted pounds of weed on that one...

World changing album.

I wonder when the collective sausages at RRHOF will nominate them. It is a joke now...

Love them...unfortunately they don't swing by Finland very often :( so I'm yet to see them live.

ps. Alex is one of the major reasons I use (and abuse) chorus. :D
