The PA Rig Thread

Need to seriously start thinking about a PA for the band.

What does your PA rig consist of:

Mixer
Power Amps
FOH (Front Of House) Speakers
Subs
Monitors

My Dream Club Rig:
Mixer: Allen & Heath 16 channel MixWiz
Processing: Alesis 8 channel 3rd octave, Stereo 2-way crossover, Lexicon Multi-Efx
Amps:
- 2 QSC PLX3402 (Mains - for subs and tops)
- 2 QSC PLX3002 (monitors 4 mixes)
FOH: EAW or JBL (pro series) 12 inch 2-way
Subs: JBL 18's (pro series)
Monitors: JBL (pro series) 15" 2-way for drummer and 12" 2-way for
everyone else.

I currently have:
Mixer
Processing
Monitors (Yamaha Club series, good enough)
Monitor amps (not PLX but the same wattage, and much heavier)

I will usually rent the front of house system based on the venue, including a FOH mixer if it calls for it, and use the A&H for monitors only.
If it's a small venue, both bands I play in have a member that has high powered 15" 2-ways and amps that we use. I use the A&H mixer for FOH sound and 4 monitor mixes, i just love that mixer.

QSC PLX series, light, heavy duty durable.

I upgraded yesterday with a new sub - Yorkville ES700P, 700watts 2x10 config. Pretty small and easy to move.

Mixer: Carvin C1644
Power Amps: Carvin DCM2000 for FOH and monitors
FOH Speakers: POS 10" 2ways
Subs: 1 Yorkie ES700P
Monitors: 2 Carvin 722's 12" 2-way

Would like Yorkville U15s for FOH but those will have to wait.
