Hey all...
I scored an older Avatar 2x12 earlier this week and I've been working it with my DC-2 because it just didn't sound right with my Stiletto. I opened it up this morning to check the speakers and it has 2 of the G12T-75 Celestions, 16 ohms loaded in it, as advertised. Then I started looking at the way it was wired and it was in SERIES  ...this gives 32 ohms if I'm doin' my math right. No wonder it sounded weird....here's my question: Why or what would you ever need a 32 ohm configuration for? Or did somebody just screw up?

That just blew me away....I rewired it and now it's an 8 ohm cabinet, and sounds a whole lot better.

Well, if you had another 32 ohm cab and hooked 'em up parallel, you'd get 16 ohms, a common Marshall load.
