Here's an amp I built for my son:

Its done now. The Metro loop I put in it is great and does not change the tone.

Here's a couple of pics:

That's a great sounding amp... I really liked the M 75's better than the J 75's. Second clip of the last three kicked a$$.

thanks!

Love the amp and the playing. About how much does it cost to put something like this together?

It was about $600 in parts and about 12 Hours of work. Since this was a TW Clone Express Chassis, I had to design the layout and think of ways to fit everything without having problems with hum and noise. I used premium PEC pots (expensive) Sozo Mustards, F&T Filter caps, metal film resistors for signal, metal oxide for power. Nice trannies from http://www.tubesandmore.com, A nice turret board from http://www.turretboards.com/, the loop that Metro Amps sells. I like the amp alot. It was what a Stilletto should have been IMO. I loved my Ace head, but I think that this amp sounds much more balanced and organic. I go to my son's bedroom to play it alot....LOL!

I would play it alot too! It definitely has a very balanced and organic sound as you said. I want one. I want to own ever nice piece of gear I ever lay eyes, ears, or hands on. The electric guitarists dilemma. lol.

FYI My son sold his old amp and did a LOT of extra chores to pay for the parts. I gave him the labor for free.
