Pickups for Teles

I'm trying to build up around $800 to put into my Baja Tele. My plans thus far are to put a compound 10/16 Warmoth neck on it, which should run me about 400 or so, but I want to get new pick ups for my guitar too. I'd considered getting some of the EMG-T's, but I've been really considering the Barden Tele pick ups. I suppose it would also help with advice if I told you all that I'm going for a bit of a punky tone, but still being able to get some of the fatter ska sounds, as well as some nice blues cleans out of the pick ups. If it helps at all, I'm running the guitar through a MKIII short head blue stripe with a Thiele.

Any input at all would be greatly appreciated. Shoot, tell me I'm dumb for my choice of pick ups; just tell me why, and maybe point me in the right direction?
