I have a warmoth strat body, routed for a floyd, and the stud holes go messed up (admitted my fault) so i wanted to remove the middle of the guitar (it already has a universal route) and plug it up with a new piece of wood, to make a new body blank, and i will route all of the pickups / bridge holes myself. Effectively making a body like a ebmm BFR, I need a chunk of wood for a "tone block"

does anyone know where i could get a piece of maple or mahogany, or other guitar wood to accomplish this?

Try
Global Wood Source
Exotic Woods

... to name a few for slabs.

... oh, you just want a chunk to cover what we call the "swimming pool" (lol)

Did you check out any exotic lumber yards locally? Try that. Or if you live in a small town that does not have lumber yard that carries exotic woods, then check out the larger city near your town.

WARNING: exotic hardwood could be pricey!!! including maple and mahogany.

Also check E-bay. There's establish lumber stores that sells small pieces.

Do a google search for "hardwoods" or "tonewoods" and include your location in the search, either your town or zipcode.
