Hello Everyone.

I just bought a G-System and I am totally confused on what types of cables I should safely be using to hook up the 4 cable method, and to run switching into a midi control (Nobles MS4 with 1/4)

Can I use the 8 channel TRS-TRS cable Laird recommends, are do I need to use mono cables for everything (I have George Ls)?

I have two amps I would like to use (not at the same time)

09 Mark V
08 Triple Rec 3 Chan

Thank you so much in advance.

Yes, you can use all TRS-TRS. I have done so with every Mesa amp I've owned.

You can also use two TRS and one TS

TRS from GS Insert Send to Amp input
TRS from Amp FX send to GS Insert Return
TS from GS Out to Amp FX return

Plus one TS from Guitar to GS input, of course.

The purpose of the TRS is to reduce noise. It will have no effect on function or reliability. It will only work on the INSERT connections. And you can also use a modified cable that is TRS-TS that Fractal calls a "humbuster". The TRS end goes to the GS, the TS end to the amp. Again, just on the INSERT connections.

The MS4 only uses TS plugs, with one switch per plug. The Mark V is the same, so TS cables or TRS cables woudl be equally useful. I don't know if the Rectifier uses any TRS plugs to have two switches per plug, so you'll have to look into that.
