Ch 2 low volume.. What tube drives it?

I'm 99% sure my channel 2's volume is low. The tone seems ok, but I'm running the channel master higher than what I remember. Is there a specific tube that drives channel 2 that would only affect the volume and seemingly not the gain? Anyone else experience this and resolved it? Thx.

    So, I tried 6L6s...

.....and I did not notice a huge difference in tone! I used to play 6L6s, my 50cal had 6L6s and so did my 395 power amp but have been using EL34s for awhile, actually I have JJ's E34L variation in my MV. I really expected a huge difference, mainly in the clean tone. I didn't get that real...

    Matched Pairs vs Matched Quad

The Mark 5 manual specifies, sort of, for matched pairs of power tubes. If I'm retubing, is there a difference between two matched pair and a matched quad? Going with JJ E34L... Also, anyone totally retube their amp and use some different combinations, power or preamp tube-wise? Thanks Jed

    Texas Heats anyone?

I'm currently using a 2x12 closed back cab loaded with Eminence Texas Heats. Anyone used these speakers before? I'm wondering because while I like them, I played through a Mark V combo recently with a C90 and was impressed by its warmth. However, the amp was a 6L6 amp and I use EL34s. just...

    Help Me Pick an Amp!

I figured who better to ask. I'm amp-less right now but firmly in the market for a new amp. For the most part, Boogies have been my choice - I've owned a couple of 50 caliburs, one with el84s, so you know that goes back a while. Also, for years I was a Triaxis/395 guy. And I've owned both...

Stiletto Trident is a Bit Harsh. Help!?

1st post, hopefully more to come. I'll try to keep 'em short. I'm a lontime Boogie user, of about 20 years. I've owned a couple of 50 Calibers, both Subway amps, a Triaxis and a 395 power amp. I've also owned Marshalls. Generally, I know what I'm getting when buy Boogie. But..... I recently...
