    Problem with my dual Rec

UPDATE: Took out the rec tubes, turned on, lightening storm in ONE of the power tubes. So I'm guessing its THAT power tube yes? There wouldn't be lightning if there was a different problem right?

Thanks for the helps dudes! So you guys are saying that EVEN THOUGH i set it to Diode mode, the fact that the rec tubes are still in there is causing the problem? And taking them out will fix it until i get new Rec tubes?

    Problem with my dual Rec

I turn it on, there is a hummmmmmmm, when in standby... odd...I take it off standby and there is lightning in one of the rectifier tubes, then no power. Blown fuse. I think, perhaps its the rectifier tube. So i switch off tube mode and to the silicone diodes, try again, this time, no lightning...

    DR Click?

Sometimes when my amp is on, not on standby, I'll set down my guitar, volume off, and just do something here on the computer for a few minutes, and every now and then, my amp will click. Just a small quick *click*. Kinda the sound it makes when you switch from channel 2 to 3 the first time. Any...

Ahh, That does manke sense, I got another practice today, I'll try cutting some Gain and see how that sounds with everyone. Thanks! So for when I record, I could perhaps scoop out some more mids than if I were to be playing a gig? Well written post, I get exactly what your saiyng with the...

    Cutting Through with a DR

So does this mean that scooping mids sounds good on most other amps such as Marks and Marshalls, but not with DRs?

    Cutting Through with a DR

Tried it with some more mids today...sounded pretty good, and cut through much better! Here's a question I thought up, how does Metallica have such a nice cutting sound on MOP when the mids were at virtually 0? Clarity please!

    Cutting Through with a DR

SouthernHell: I'll give that a shot as well! What is pegging the gain though haha, I'm not familiar with that one! And I have a Recto cab, so I figure it should be closer to 11 then right?

    Cutting Through with a DR

Hey everyone, I've got me a 3 channel Dual Rectifier and was wondering what settings you guys would suggest that would help me cut through the mix without having to crank it way high. I have a Boss 7 band EQ pedal in the loop and I'm playing on channel 3 Modern. I play in a Thrash Metal band...
