    Looking for delay advice.

If you want to go the analog route (although it sounds from your choices that you might prefer more bells and whistles), the mxr carbon copy is great and i've gigged it in a single rec with parallel loop and also out front. Verty much recommended

    Triple Rectifier Sound Clips

Sounds good! The guitars could have backed off a bit though and allowed the vocals to come through more, as I felt they were a bit quiet.

A problem with my Single Recto Ch2 vintage mode...

Vintage only works well loud IMO, i run presence at zero when playing band lol. Pretty much everything else near 12 o'clock and twaeked depending on guitar. Usually a strat with BKP sinner in bridge. Gives me heavier rhythm but not over saturated lead playing. It wins.

Anyone with a single rectifier head handy? Measurements!

Hi Really quick request, could anyone with a single rectifier head just do some quick measurements for me. I've looked on the mesa site and all it is telling me is width. If anyone could mesaure the depth (front of the head shell to the back of the headshell) i would really appreciate it...

Tell me about your RectoVerb 50-watt EL-34, vs the Mark 4

We use two rectoverbs in our band and we love em. Although it can be a bit of a bugger keeping the clean from breaking up (i use a strat for cleans, the other guy is screwed with humbuckers in his PRS), the mid to high gain settings are a real treat and the recto doesn't get enough recognition...

Both my other guitar player and myself have rectoverbs 1) its off and red, no green on footswitch 2) Power tube rattle is common in combos, both mine and my other guitar players rectosverbs both have rattle, it never affects live use or recording though, although it is annoying. 3) Yes all...

Showing off the recto versatility - new band demo

Thanks, yeah the rectoverbs are great amps, just make sure you turn it up loud! Thanks man, appreciate the comments. Our singer will be glad to hear that he's pretty new to the clean side of things. Glad you liked the structure and style changes, that puts some less open minded people off!

Dual Rectifier "Bad" Sound... HELP PLEASE!!!

Digital devices such as the boss and a solid state amp can get artificial levels of distortion, so much so that when compared to a tube amp, the tube amp seems lower gain especially if you aren't playing it loud. My suggestion is an overdrive pedal (a bad monkey by digitech can be had for...

effect pedals in solo 50 loop

Well rectos have a parallel rather than serial loop and they don't always like digital pedals, due to the delay created between the wet and dry signals (or something like that). Analogues are safe and some digitals seem to work ok (my holy grail for example) so try them out beforehand if possible.

    Roadster Noise Issue

Watched the vid, and read your account, it sounds pretty much identical to the problem I had with my rectoverb combo. After playing for a bit the power tubes started what i describe as 'droning' until i switched channels. Tap test on the power tubes elicited the same noise, sometimes ongoing...

    retracted...

I read the manual last night online, and it states that safe mismatching can be achieved by using a higher load speaker than the amp output. For example an 8ohm speaker into the 4ohm amp jack, or a 16ohm speaker into the 8ohm amp jack. I tried hooking my combo speaker (8ohm) into the 4ohm and...

does this not harm the amp at all?

    keeping in tune?

With a floyd rose that has had a lot of use, the knife edges could be dull, all the string stretching in the world won't help this. Take it to a tech and see what he thinks. There are also other floyd issues he may spot, like the age of the springs, and any wear in the locking nut.
