im not liking the tremoverb just sounds weird its not less fuzzy or clearer then the normal 2 ch solo head at all maybe its just me?

my mates got a tremoverb and its got heaps of hum when the standby is on then you hold the strings it hums really loud and it increases with the reverb on is this just a tube problem??
