Came across these reading about Steve Kimock, who gets great clean tones from his amps. I tend to play loud and clean (and posted this elsewhere), but the c90 is vibrating pretty hard on low notes, and I tried tightening the speaker a few times.

Arg! I just rolled all my pre-amp and rectifier tubes cause I thought I was hearing microphonics. Still heard it on low E string and D open, all channels, all watts. So, I hit an open E, heard the buzz, and touched the speaker. the buzzing stopped. What does this mean? Speaker gone? Bass up too...
