I was toying around with my Nova Delay. Had it in front of the preamp, then in the loop. I'd say its definitely better in the loop. Doesn't affect the tone. You should have a delay on what you want to hear, not delay what goes into your preamp and then gets manipulated again.... I"m drunk by...

I use the Rocktron Hush as well. Its the last thing in my chain before the DR input. Friggin amazing tone.

Tone is awesome, Playing is spot on too. Just a few parts out of tune which makes me cringe.. Good job though. -Chris

Is $1100 a good price on a Rackmount 2 channel recto? Blackface, black chassis. I've never really seen how much these go for. Thoughts?

The way I understand it, most boogies are fixed bias and the only change you can do is throw el-34's in there and flip the switch (if it allows it). Those are the only bias adjustments you can make. That being said when you buy tubes, make sure you specify that you are putting them into an amp...

Have you tried a 10 band EQ in the loop? I have one with my Ace 1x12 and it works wonders. Just pick one up on ebay like I did. I didn't pay more than $100 for it.

Your just looking for a stereo cable with 1/4" TRS plugs. That'll do the trick.

I have an Ace 1x12 and feel that with the KT-77's I just installed + the EQ in the loop, I can get a really fat tone from it. Sure, you won't have "wall of sound" with it since there is only 1 speaker, but its still a very good sound and when you play live and mic it, you can't tell the difference.

I installed the JJ KT77s in my Ace 112 and really like the sound i'm getting. I'm going to try to A/B them and post clips. I still have the stock preamp mesa tubes in there now, but have some brand new JJ's that I can try. At this point. I'm really happy with the tones I'm getting and may keep...
