just bought G12h30 for extension cab

I just bought a G12h30 for my 1x12 extension cab to replace a Celestion Lead 80. I have the mesa/celestion 90 in my C+ combo. I play lots of rhythm and I am hoping the mesa-90/g12h30 will be a better mix than the mesa-90/lead that I currently have. I will post after I get it in there and give...

    having trouble determing value

Ryan, Know what you mean . . . I have a C+ (60 watt no simul) so not as nice as yours but I have been thinking about selling it. It doesn't fit my style just right. . . The other thought that might work for you that I am considering is a different speaker. My mesa black shadow seems sterile...

    FULLDRIVE 2 & IIC+

Yes, I have a C+ and a fulldrive II. (also a keeley compressor). I like my set up. I needed the versatility and the two channel C+ is not versatile on the fly. I use my C+ as a Clean and then a grit drive whereas I kick in the full drive for overdrive rhythym and overdrive lead (with boost...

    Fulltone Fulldrive II

Anyone use this pedal? I am thinking about getting it to go with my mk IIC+. I like my C+ but I need more than two sounds on the fly. I need clean, edge of breaking clean, and distortion for rhythm and clean boost and dirty boost for lead. I think with the fulltone fulldrive having an...

    Mark IIC vs Mark IIC+

I really don't see the C or C+ as a heavy metal amp. Maybe I am just in the dark.

    Mark IIC vs Mark IIC+

Yes, I wanted more drive and it has that. Plus, the value of the amp goes up by more than the cost of the upgrade. So it is worth it from that perspective. My reverb was not working correctly and I had that repaired at the same time, so can't say much about that . . . Except that boogie...

    Mark IIC vs Mark IIC+

I had my c converted and the biggest difference is in overall "drive" of the amp, especially in lead mode. Any other difference was difficult for me to detect. Now maybe in a side by side A/B comparison test, other differences may be detected. My opinion, if you want more drive (hotter lead)...

    Boss ME-8

Any opinions on Boss ME-8? It's old technology, I know, but has a couple nice features it seems such as tap control (set time by tapping pedal) for delay and tremelo.

    order of FX, FX loop

I have four pedals that I use with a MKIIC+. They are a tube driver, eq, compressor, chorus. I plan on using like this . . . tube driver between guitar and amp. the other three in fx loop in this order . . . compressor, eq, chorus. does this seem to make most since? other ideas welcomed...

    Mk II C+ w/o EQ

I am the lucky owner of a MkII C+ with celection extension cabinet. Perfect condition I might add. No simulclass nor EQ. (It is actually a C converted to a C+ recently) How important would it be to put an EQ pedal in before the amp? I know it is subjective but just trying to get a feel...
