    FS: LANEY VH100R

This head is in new condition, as I only played it shortly on the day i bought it a couple weeks ago. Since than it has been in the packaging. It comes with all the manuals, warranties, cables, and the footswitch. I am losing some money on this, so if you wanted a new one of these, this is the...

My Mark IV squeels like a pig

Its not the guitar or anything else its the head because I have several other 100 watt heads, but this one is extremely sensitive and squeels like mad once i get to a reasonable volume. Is this head normally a rather squeely head?

    Blue glow... outer 2 tubes

The outer 2 tubes in my Mark IV are glowing blue in the middle, what does this mean?

    Rectifier vs Roadster

One of the big deciding factors will be heaviness... one of you said the dual/triple rects can be heavier/more metal sounding and one of you said that the roadster can get just as heavy/metal sounding as the dual/triple rects. Can it? from the clips, the roadster sound great but I haven't heard...

    Rectifier vs Roadster

So I am wondering about the basic rectifiers (dual and triple) vs the roadster rect. From the clips I have heard the roadster seems to sound less "typical mesa sponge tone" and seems to have more usable lead tone. I dont know if these observations are at all worthy but I was hoping to get some...

    Blown fuse... warmup?

is it possible to blow a fuse by instantly turning on my mark IV with all knobs maxed and playing through it without letting it warm up in standby first? If so, that would explain my blown fuse.

    Mark III short?

Can the mark III, use 2 el34s and 2 6l6s?

    road king

I am wondering how they different tonewise if they even do at all? Obviously the road king has many more options, but in particular how does the tone of the two lead channels differ? Are they essentially the same?

    road king

Does the road king have a different tone than say a dual rectifier?

    Mark III short?

Is there short and long body for Mark IIIs? or is that only Mark IVs?

LOG Ashes of the Wake tone

Mark Morton used two Mark IVs, one with el34s and oen with 6l6s, both running at same time to record ashes. For Sacrament he used a Mark IV with 6l6s with a stiletto (el34s).

    idea for amp

it has nothing to do with pickups, I like the pickups that I have chosen and I use the neck pickup for leads and the bridge pickup for riffs. I am looking for what I describe in the original post, is there any way to make this?

    high treble loss of articulation...

tbh I dont think so... I have never heard any clips with an articulate sounding mesa boogie, Petruccis solos are a mess and when he plays fast its hard to distinguish notes. I'm just wondering if there is a pedal or something I can do to help it?

    idea for amp

I like a lot more treble in the tone when playing the 3 low strings and very little treble when playing the high 3 strings, so I came up with an idea... I cant make it happen but maybe someone else can for me. I was thinking that you could mod an amp switcher so that when when your play the low...
