my DC5 has mullards ECC83 in position 1 through 3 and in V6 (phase splitter) it has a mullard ECC81

i used one at V1 in my DC5 for a few months, and i liked it. I had slightly more hiss in my sound, but overal sound was more creamy and mellow, what i liked

the riff is awesome, but the guitarsound lacks thickness

wind cries mary is wonderfull, mind sharing the settings? :) i never thought that my dc could sound so clear :o (i always use emg's pickups and if i want clean, i have to turn the gain on the rythm channel to about 0,5)

i have a DC5 with serialnumber 23xx and i contacted mesa and they told me it was a late 94. Its a DC5a with the metal rockerswitches on front

i'm a tube amp builder myself (i also do fx and repairs and mods :) i've build 2 amps up till now. The first one is a Mashall "18 watter" (1974x) lite2b, modded to my taste. I took the tubes (2x mullard 12ax7, 2x mullard el84, 1x mullard ez81 all the tubes where in nos condition)...

recorded using cheap software (magix audio studio or something like that, bad for multitracking :p) 1 guitar panned left, another one to the right (both at 90%) rythm at center no post eq and stuff like that, just the panning guitar is a ibanez ic300 ('01) stock and sorry for bad playing :p...

i got the serial number it's, DC-2322 but i cant email M/B (cant find their email on site) and i cant call them (i live in belgium and i dont want to pay $$$ just to know it's date can anyone help me out? :lol:
