    Dc 2 or dc5 combo

A little late, but I'd choose the DC5 over the DC2 anytime. The DC with 6L6 power tubes is a great amp! I've owned both the DC3 and the 10 (2x12 combo), I thought the DC3 would be the same amp but easier to carry around, but turned out it wasn't. Still a nice amp, but the DC5/10 are going to...

Adding a 1x12 to the Rectoverb 25 combo: speaker?

Hi gang! I'm thinking of adding an open back 1x12 to my Rectoverb 25 combo that I still love dearly. I'm looking for a speaker that would compliment the Fillmore nicely. I love the way the combo sounds as is, I'm just looking to add maybe some more body to the tone. My initial thought was to...

Mesa Rectoverb 25: video demo, dynamic range

Thank you guys! @Screamingdaisy: yes, I love the combination of the Rectifier preamp with the EL84s in the open back combo. Maybe not well suited for metal, but for classic rock and blues tones it really does an amazing job!

Mini Rec - pushed clean mode

nope. But you can roll the volume on your guitar back and get your clean tone that way!

Mesa Rectoverb 25: video demo, dynamic range

Hi folks! Just thought I would share this with you! I recently made a video showing the dynamic range of the Rectoverb 25 (Combo), on Channel 2/modern. Everything was set at noon, except for the presence at 11 o'clock. Good old SM57 for the capture, guitar (Ken Francis Pennycaster) straight...

Mark III blue stripe vs Mini Rectifier/Rectoverb

Just so you know guys, after trying a bunch of amps (Fender 65 DRRI and 68 Custom Deluxe + pedals, Traynor YCS90, Quilter Aviator 1x12, Mesa Rectoverb 25 Combo, Mark III blue stripe), I decided to go with the RoV 25! I've had it side by side with the Mark III and the 68 Custom Deluxe for about...

Mark III blue stripe vs Mini Rectifier/Rectoverb

thanks for your reply Elvis. I have the same kind of volumes that you have. Just one thing though: what style of music are you playing? I'm not looking for a metal tone, more for a great clean/slightly hairy clean (70% of the time) and a crunch/lead (think 70s/80s classic rock). Is your...

Mark III blue stripe vs Mini Rectifier/Rectoverb

sounds good thanks for the advice! I'll pass on the Mark III then and will try to find a mini rectifier to try!

Mark III blue stripe vs Mini Rectifier/Rectoverb

well in my experience some of the higher wattage amps have very good master volumes (my DC10 used to sound pretty darn good at lower volumes). The one that I've seen on the classifieds has the Simulclass, so that might help too. But then I agree with the size and weight.. I would be interested...

Mark III blue stripe vs Mini Rectifier/Rectoverb

Hi folks! My name is Alex, and I've been lurking here for a while now, getting precious information about Mesa products on these forums. I've owned a Mesa DC10 (combo version) in the past (for about 4-5 years), but sold it when I moved overseas (used to live in Europe, now I'm in Canada). I...
