I've said it before but I will repeat. I set my V:35 gain tone by turning the treble all the way up. Then I add gain as needed. At that point I may roll the treble back a bit as desired. I find that the fizz (if any, this amp is low on fizz) comes from the gain. The treble is more of a voicing...

I agree, use the Extreme mode. I Like to turn the treble all the way up and set the gain at about 3:00. Use the EQ to cut or boost as required. Some people will do the opposite, turn the gain up and treble down. I find that my way reduces that fizzy edge and gives a smoother lead. Works for me.

Can anyone of you guys who have the head (or combo) tell me if it has a fan inside (like the V:25)?
