    Mark IIb HELP!!!!

Based on the knob labeled Post FX indicates that it’s a iib+, with the + indicating that it’s had the factory mod. The bottom inputs are for reverb/EQ or boost/EQ, not sure how to tell how it’s wired. Mine is boost/eq, as I keep the reverb on all the time. Great feature!

    Mark IIB EQ hum

Is the hum present with the EQ set flat? Specific frequency sliders? It interacts with the passive tone stack, have you recently changed those?

Mark IIB Question - Use as a bass amp?

I have a Bass 400+ that I run with the Bag End cabinets (I'm primarily a bass player), and running an OD/Distortion in front of it is still a little stiff. Nature of the beast with the 400+, it's perfect for my needs - clean clean clean. Your explanation makes perfect sense as to why I was...

Mark IIC+ - Guide for Dummies

As posted by Boogiebabies, ""A “+” also refers to any amplifier upgraded below 12,500 that has been verified either by the loop test or visual circuit identification. If your amp was upgraded in the early 90’s to the present, Mesa will have an RA, or Return Authorization verifying the...

Picked up a 1981 Mark IIB Combo

Hi all, New to the board, cool resource! I just picked up a great 'little' amp, a 1981 Mark IIB. It's 60 watt (2 6L6s) with graphic eq, reverb, original EVM 12L speaker, and the Mike B. effect loop mod (Dyno Label = PSTFXLVL). Included a padded Mesa cover and original paperwork. Also, as a...
