just got a l.s.s. and want to put new tubes into it, save the old for spares. any recommendations that you've tried and found successful? i see the 5y3 and the el84's, i don't see what the pre-amp tubes are though? what does m.b. use for the pre-amp tubes? thanks m

i just bought a used lonestar special, i'm the third owner. the po bought from another po...etc. etc. so the exact age is a mystery how would i tell in what year was my lonestar made? s.n. = LS-005xxx thanks m
