    Triaxis questions

The TriAxis has tons of gain in the Lead 1 Red / Lead 2 modes and can deliver that good distorted/saturated and compressed sound for leads work, specially the Lead 2 Yellow IMO. If you feel that there's not enough gain, increase the treble to get that "+", compensating with TriAxis Presence or...

    Triaxis questions

Hey, 1 - Maybe the presets 1-20 you see are the default ones. Anyway i would try to press SHIFT + LOOP to defeat factory presets, the press SHIFT + MODE to recall and check again if something has changed. 2 - I had the same setup as yours (v2 non phat + 20:20) and IMO the TriAxis is a bit...

Need to build a snake for a pedal board

Hey, I've built one for my 4CM setup. I used a Mogami W2931 4 Channel TRS bulk cable + Neutrik TS straight connectors. (Yes, I've wired them as mono). I left one of the fanned ends longer, so I can connect it to the front of the amp, while the other ends are able to reach the loop jacks in the...

New old amp day (Mark IV)

Congrats! Tap dancing should not be an issue if you invest in a switching device such as the carl martin octa switch and many others. About the decimator, I use a Decimator 2 G String with my pedalboard (g system + NDR + a couple drive pedals) in 4CM with Road King II or TriAxis + 20:20...

    Are amps like wine?

I think that in this case it could be power tubes getting older (which apparently to your ears sounds better). But IMO there's something that really makes things getting better overtime: the learning curve. Everything I've spent some time (and a lot of time sometimes) dialing in, twekeeing and...

    tc electronics g system

I have one and use it in 4CM with a RKII. I'm currently tap dancing, but in the next couple weeks I'll purchase the RJM RK cable to use with my MAG. Great piece of gear. I just recommend you to pay attention to the version you are buying and read Laird's white paper before setting them up.

NAD: Triaxis, 20/20, and Recto 2x12!!!

Awesome, congrats! I have the same setup. (including TA version) I love the Lead 1 Red, mainly its punchness and low end. I have the gain set quite low (between 4.5 - 5.5), the bass around 6.5, the Lead 1 drive higher for saturation at around 6.5-8.5 and for me the tricky for taming the lows is...

    Which Boogie do I need?

I agree with all Elvis suggestions, especially the Lonestar. Lovelly cleans s2.... To add another option I'd suggest you a TriAxis @Rhythm yellow mode + 2:ninety. You could get awesome cleans and distortions out of that + MIDI capabilities.

    Buying Triaxis?

Hi, 1) I've used the TriAxis succesfully with Mesa Mark V power section (apparently it is very similar to the 2:90), with the Roadking 2 power and with the Mesa 20:20. All of them sounded different IMO. The 20:20 sounds very dark and liquid to my ears. With the mark V it sounded amazing...

Triaxis - Lead 1 Red not working

Hello everyone, Although my issue is a bit different than the reported by this topic, I'd like to use the same one to hopefully get some assistance on the issues I've found in my TriAxis. I've just got a second hand one, serial number T-51**, which i confirmed to be a V2.0 non phat mode...

Marco and his Mark V equals nice tone...

I'm a very fan of Marco Sfogli. I love his guitar production on Elements of Persuasion (James Labrie). This guy knows how to get THAT sound from a guitar! I like this tone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RW9CLoqbqK8
