    NAD - Rocket 44

:D Definitely a pedal addict, though I used to have more. My fiance always knows that a pedal is the only gift I want for my bday or other occasion haha.

    NAD - Rocket 44

Still really enjoying it, it's a keeper! This one came with a UK made Vintage 30 in it. Sounds awesome! Anyone have tube preferences for this amp (or any Rocket series)? The previous owner put JJ power tubes in, haven't actually looked at the preamp tubes yet, they might be the originals.

    NAD - Rocket 44

I can finally post here again after trading my Mark IV combo a year and a half ago - I missed it a lot. :( Yesterday, I picked up this gem for only $400! I love it so far - cleans and lead w/contour are excellent. I even like the reverb which some say isn't good, but I think it sits in the...

Another Mark IV with non-working reverb

Replaced the reverb transformer...it wasn't that either. I think I give up.

Another Mark IV with non-working reverb

It's a '92 IV-A...It stopped working when I changed tubes a few months ago. I tried swapping different tubes in and out of all positions, no luck. Tried different reverb cable, cleaned all connections. The old tank had one broken spring that the previous owner removed, so I bought a new Mod...

Mark IV: officially went from like to LOVE!!!

As I predicted, the Astrotone works like a charm with channel 2 - just turn the tone knob to about 2:00-3:00 and it tightens it right up. It does great with 1&3 as well. Definitely would recommend it if you want something that will do boost, od, and fuzz (and does them all amazingly).

Mark IV crackling and fading out? Please help.

Yeah, sounds like classic preamp tube failure!

New MkIV-A combo owner here w/pics!

 I'll probably give Mesa a call, is the lead drive pot easy to access, or would I have to remove some things above it? I might live with the screw if it's a pain to get to.

Mark IV makes me play better

Unforgiving and inspiring. 8) That's a winning combination in amps and guitars...I love my Les Paul, but it's almost too easy compared to the Tele, which definitely forces me to play better.

Mark IV: officially went from like to LOVE!!!

Nice, thanks for those tips, since I'm just getting introduced to mine. I'm thinking my Astrotone might do the trick as a boost with channel 2 because the tone knob can really thin out the bass nicely when needed.

Haha, excellent, is there a broken knob Mark club? I'll join. :) I haven't even cranked it yet, but tweed class A was already plenty for the gf to yell for me to turn it down...and she's used to me playing pretty loud when I had my Budda SD30.

Thanks everyone! I'm really thrilled about this...I'm thinking it will satisfy my amp needs (wants) for a long time.

New MkIV-A combo owner here w/pics!

Hey everyone, I've wanted a Boogie forever and I just sold off some pedals and things and picked up a '92 Mark IV combo locally for $800.:o Has a road case, that's good for a hernia.:D Just needs a retube and has a screw in lieu of one pot shaft, but it's working beautifully upon brief testing...
