    5 and 15 watt settings don't work

Thanks, I admit I'm out of my element troubleshooting this. But, I do believe I have an extra rec tube...thanks again for the tip.

    5 and 15 watt settings don't work

Howdy! Just wondering if anyone’s run across this before and has any suggestions. I blew a fuse in my 1x12 LSS and after replacing it and installing new tubes (brand new, from Mesa), it worked about 30 minutes, after which the only setting that would work was the 30W on either channel. I get...

    LSS: Where?

Sorry dude, that was probably me! I bought it at Guitar Center off of North Druid Hills on a Saturday I believe. I liked it a little more than the LS they had. Do what I did and call before you go...only 1 store in Atlanta had one when I called.

    Lonestar problems anyone?

See above. Although your tip about the incandescent lights may be the culprit. I didn't think about that. In the second room there are some inc. lights that are switch-operated (with a dimmer). I guess they could be on the same circuit...the socket I used was on the wall opposite the light...

    Lonestar problems anyone?

Yes, I tried a different cord. The first socket I plugged into did have a computer also plugged in, so I moved to another socket that was totally empty in another room. I will try removing the tubes and see if that helps. Thanks.

    Lonestar problems anyone?

Nevermind about that. Besides, I figured if you're interested enough, you could read for yourself at harmony-central instead of me paraphrasing. I splurged yesterday and bought a Special, which sounded amazing in the store. It was the last one they had, so I snatched it up. Over my budget...

    Lonestar problems anyone?

Hey, I am considering this amp as a possible purchase, but I have read on harmony-central that MANY people have had several different serious issues with it. I have heard that Mesa has worked out the kinks, but that doesn't help the older LS's. Any idea WHEN they fixed the problems (what year...

    Newbie help

Thanks for all the suggestions. :D I hope to get my refund tonight, and go shopping this weekend!!! I saw the reviews at harmony central, so that's a good resource too. I noticed a lot of ppl had reliability issues with the Lonestar...I wonder if this has been addressed by Mesa Boogie. I...

    Newbie help

Thanks for your reply. If this helps, my favorite tones are those put out by the likes of Jimi, SRV, Warren Haynes (Soldano), and Jimmy Herring, not that I want to sound like any of them exactly, but I do love their tone. So, ultra high gain isn't necessarily what I need. Is that what the DC5...

    Newbie help

Ok, long story short, I am buying my first "real" amp after playing for 16 years. I am leaning towards a boogie because I heard this local Atlanta cat Barry Richman wailing through one several years ago. I am totally uneducated an amps, and I don't get to buy equipment very often, so I want...
