recto in order to use it just as a power amp and play the eleven rack through a cabinet? I saw a video of someone doing this on yt with a bugera, but a recto is a different amp and blowing up a recto is a bigger deal than blowing up a bugera lol. anyone have any thoughts on this?

not that great. Not bad by any means but the tone is really different. I went from a thick and ultra compressed sound to a pretty thin sounding midrangy sound. pretty disappointed, I've had the tubes less than a month and I already want to replace them. Anyone else have similar experience...

is there somewhere I can order matched tubes? I went to my local place and they're all unmatched and the guy said that I would need a tech to install them even though it's fixed bias boogie, so I had to buy the mesa tubes. I really wanted to try something new :(

As it stands now it's pretty reasonable Mesa rectoverb - $500 Marshall 2x12 - $160 Gibson LP standard - $1100 I also use a boss flanger but I didn't pay for it 1760 total.

Yeah. The mix knob is missing! The amp isn't noisy until I try using a delay on the gain channel. I will take pics when I get home (I'm out of town for the weekend as part of my obligation to the USAF reserve at the moment)

Congrats. In college I had a 3 channel dual and I ran it through 2 laney 4x12s. Eventually I got a recto 4x12 and it sounded like a completely different amp. I fell in LOVE with the sound. V30s are a perfect match for these amplifiers

congrats on the amp! I too returned to the mesa fam with a rectover (i used to have a 3 channel - non reborn in college). I remember the feeling well, the whole time i was dying to have a mesa again.
