    Mesa STR420 "Coke Bottle"

Came in a Mark IVa. Red dot on the tubes. No label on the base, just on the glass. One tube broke. Are these tubes worth keeping? How do they compare to the current Mesa 6L6 offering? Should I try to hunt down a single/pair of Red Dot Mesa Str420 Coke Bottles to complete a quad?

I like the tight end in these, but overall a bright tube in already bright amp. Those of you that do use them, what positions, and do you follow it with a JJ because they are relatively on the dark side? I don't have JJ's to try. I have an EH Gold Pin 12ax7. A mid focused tube if you ask me. It...

    Heritage G12h30's!

New member here! I acquired a used in mint condition Stiletto Ace 2x12 a few weeks ago. I couldn't agree more with the V30's comments. I have a Marshall HW 4x12 with the Heritage g12h30's. So I swapped the V30's with 2 of the g12h30's. This amp now kicks ***. Articulate, crunchy, perfect mids...
