Got the Mkiii blue stripe. I went ahead and performed the + mod on the clean and lead channel. Much better for my needs. Running through a 2x12 loaded with g12t-75's and it sounds righteous!

Long time Mark fan. Just curious what your favorite speakers are besides the mighty EV12L and MC90? I remember liking the Scumback H75's, but is has been a long time since I have heard that amp with those. What about Celestion G12T-75's? Others?

I run them as a A/B set up. I can run them together, but I prefer them separate.

What I like about the IIC+ is that it is similar to a Soldano SLO in feel and articulation. It responds more to pick angle, attack, and your volume knob. The MKIII is a little more gainy and compressed, but still sounds awesome. It is a matter of taste. The IIC+ also seems to be less forgiving...

Well guys, my wife and two of my kids are sick, so I have to postpone my recon. As soon as I can, I will visit that store and take pics. Hoping for Tues-Wed.

FYI My son sold his old amp and did a LOT of extra chores to pay for the parts. I gave him the labor for free. :mrgreen:

It was about $600 in parts and about 12 Hours of work. Since this was a TW Clone Express Chassis, I had to design the layout and think of ways to fit everything without having problems with hum and noise. I used premium PEC pots (expensive) Sozo Mustards, F&T Filter caps, metal film resistors...

It has the MKIIC+ 105 trannie, Simul, Graphic, but no reverb. Extra holes in the bottom of the chassis. I will be going back on Saturday with camera and screwdriver in hand to find out for sure... 8)
