Tube saturation and the Mark V

Oh? They suck? Could be. . .I still have the stock tubes >_> Do it for like 10 seconds and hit some chords, then turn it down. . .No one will know what hit them.

Tube saturation and the Mark V

Hmm, In 90 and 45 watts, I usually get a good metalish tone by having the ouput and master at about halfway, or a little less than that. But, that's still pretty **** loud. 10 watts blows for metal really - Need more power! I think the clean channel sounds good on just about any volume though...

    Emg 81x and Liquifire

Can I put the emg in the bridge and in the liquifire in the neck? Or is that a no-no? I want a John Petrucci lead tone and a Alexi Laiho type lead tone. . .Ya, ya, I know find your own tone. But, with my limited funds, it's not a bad place to start! And What's the difference between the emg 81x...

    Lead tone question.

I'm really digging the Mark V. I couldn't be happier with the rhythm. The lead tone I have is nice and it's as smooth as butter. But, I have hardly any output for fast high gainy shred stuff - it feels like I can use it for mainly gainy blues or really old rock (on channel 3.) I don't even have...

There isn't any difference between the traditional and stiletto cab is there? Just making sure before I make the purchase on a cabinet. And why do they have different names >_>? I found new traditional guitar cab at Guitar Center for sale. . .but I thought they stopped making them. The sales guy...

    Pickup question

I just bought a Mark V head and it is supposed to arrive two days from now - I ordered it online to save 300 bucks tax, just a tip for anyone who doesn't have the money, or want to pay it - I'm really excited. Although, I have lame Duncan Designed pickups that I want to change. They sound okay...
