    2x12 Cab Questions??? HELP!

You play bass on a roadster?

    1x12 recommended ??

Mesa offers a 1x12 bass cab as well. Its very small and light (for a mesa cab). I think they also have a walkabout 1x12 cab which has the passive radiator so it speaks a bit deeper than a common 1x12 bass cab.

    Bass Cabs 2x12 or 1x15

I know a lot of bassists have been running the 1x15 + 4x10 combination for years, but it really makes little sense. A 4x10 cabinet is a lot louder than a 1x15. This is due to the greater amount of cone area (it is in physical contact with more air) plus the 4 magnets/voice coils as opposed to...

    Bass Gear Magazine online

I was about to mention this. There is a long interview with the head of the bass amp design team. In which he mentions that there are some all tube bass heads in the works. KT88 tubes are mentioned! Also some pretty extensive looks at the M3 Carbine and the PH112 cabs. My hopes are that this...

    Mesa Boogie Tube Bass Amps

Make sure you have a cab patched to the right impedance jacks. EG 8 ohm to 8ohm. two 8 ohm to 4 ohm. Do not do 2 ohms! Some folks say its kosher, but I have the amp bills to say otherwise! Always have your cab patched before you power up also. Um, channel 1 is low gain, kind of bassman...

    Anyone Bias There Own Boogie?

Anyone have any info on installing a bias pot on a Bass 400 or 400+? I know that it can be done, have seen it mentioned before on the Talkbass forums. I may either attempt this myself, or pay a tech to do it. Depending on money and time. I am pretty comfortable with electronics. I work on...

    Road King 2x12

I tried the Boogie Powerhouse 2x12 a couple days ago. It has pretty good bass extension for a 2x12. Had no problems with a 5 string Ray.

    MESA guitar head for bass?

Also, Les Claypool used to use an ADA guitar preamp that was modded in the same fashion, caps increased, for his bass tone. But that was many amps and many Carl Thompson basses ago. Back when he used a crown power amp and EV 2 way cabs. Funny thing is I dont think he had a very bassy tone then...

    Mesa Boogie Tube Bass Amps

I started a google group dedicated to my favorite high power tube bass heads. I looked around the internet and didn't find anything specifically devoted to these heads so...here you go. I will try and gather together as much info as I can on these great heads. Having some difficulty tracking...

Question for the experts re:older Mesa 2x12 cab.

Sounds like the cab that went with the infamous "son of boogie" heads. Nice cabs, lame heads.

    MESA guitar head for bass?

I tried my guitarists triple recto thru a boogie 1x15 once. It was good, gainy and loud but very loose in the low end. Certainly wont do a b string justice. Oh and hi, I just signed up. That capcha was hard as hell to read!
