Looking at getting a bit of a boost for my ED's gain and I'm split between the OCD and the BB preamp. Any opinions on which one mates better with the ED?

How long are everyone's tubes lasting in their EDs? I realize that tube life is dependent on a whole bunch of things including the master volume, usage, and just dumb luck of how good/bad the tubes you have are, but I'm worried my ED might not be running properly as I've been needing to change...

Does anybody know of a way to convert the ED combo into a head + cab? I'd love if it were possible just to pull out the amp from the combo, stick it into another box (realizing that the controls would be labeled upside down), and use the combo as a cab. Not sure if Mesa will sell you a case or...

Why does the reverb suck?! At least on the gain channels, that is. I have no problems with it on clean, but as soon as the amp goes blue or red, it terrorizes the sound! Now, I do recall something being written in the manual about why the reverb is affected by the gain channels when the volume...

After running a few tests on my pedals and setup, I've discovered that a lot of the noise that my amp had been generating was from my effects loop. In my original setup, I had a small stone phaser, BF-3 flanger, and Line6 echo park delay in the loop, with the BF-3 and Line 6 powered by a Onespot...

Just out of curiosity. I've never been in a situation where I could've bared the volume past 9:00. I do wonder what it would sound like though.

I just bought one today - came with a faulty footswitch, which I'm sure will get fixed. Had some noisy tubes in it, too, because it was a floor model, but the store I went to switched them out no problem. Anybody else had problems?
