stereo power amp output to a mono cab?
Bridging a stereo power amp to mono is NOT a good idea. You will probably blow up the amp unless it has a switch to do this. Before trying to wire the outputs together, contact the amp maker to be sure this is safe. The better thing to do is open up your 4x12 cabinet and rewire it for stereo...- ylo

Biasing an amp yourself
Easiest way is with precision one ohm resistors, one for each tube. A drop of one mV equals a plate current of 1 mA, neglecting grid leakage, which is minor. The bias rite has a built-in resistor, so you do not have to modify the amp, except of course that you may have to add a bias adjust... -

Has anyone tried to get preamp tubes replaced under Mesa's warranty? I have a new LSS that I fired up for the first time today. One of the tubes, I assume V1, is microphonic -- makes a static noise with each guitar note. I have several potential replacements -- 12AX7LPS, 12AX7WA and a couple...
