Why no category for the California Tweed Amp series yet?

New Cali-Tweed 4:40 head owner looking for speaker recco's
I just traded in my trusty old mid-90's Victoria Double Deluxe for a Cali-Tweed 4:40 head. I have a 27" wide Mesa 1X12, the one they made for the Lone Star Classic head, that I'm plugging the Cali-Tweed head into now. I do have a Jensen N12-100 I could put in that cab. Quick question on the Thiele cab sold now.
I'm pretty sure that they do not ship the EV speaker with new Boogie Thiele cabs anymore - does the speaker that is now the standard for that cab sound as good as the EV? I've read that the Thiele cab was specifically designed for the EV speaker, what does not using the EV do to the response...- doublescale1
