TC50 combo vs Rectoverb 25 combo

So........... Before I get started, if someone says, "Check it out before you buy it," I'm gonna scream! I live on an island in the Pacific with no Mesa dealer around. I would have to take a flight, then a cab, just to check it out and I'd be out $300.........The other side of that argument is that ...

Re: NAD: DC-5b head

 You guys are killing me.....I've been looking for a DC5 head for a long time!
I love my DC3, but the 5 has a bit more of what I am looking for.

Congrats on the great price!

WTB: Mesa Casters with Base Plates

I'm looking for a set of Mesa casters 2" or 3" with the base plates and all hardware.

Or.....I will take just the base plates if that is all you have. I can get the casters at the local hardware store.

Thanks.

Re: WTB: 2:50 or 50/50 power amp

Here you go. Thanks, I couldn't resist getting it! I just got my 2:90 working really well a couple of weeks ago, but the 2:50 will be much lighter to carry around. Plus, I can experiment with different tubes with the 2:50. Maybe I'll try the 2:90 in a little bass rig......or......build a LOUDER rac...

WTB: 2:50 or 50/50 power amp

I have a 2:90 that is pretty much too much for what I'm doing.
I'd like to pick up a 2:50 in decent shape.

Anybody have one for a reasonable price?

Thanks!

Re: Vintage Rectifier 1x12 Closed Back Cabinet - Opinions Ne

Were the standard caps and the 100V caps the same brand? Same series from the brand? I'll have to experiment with this a little. My ROV 25 sounds great, but needs just a tad more bass for what I use it for. I don't need over the top, I'll use a different amp for that. My Maverick 112 combo seriously...

Re: Vintage Rectifier 1x12 Closed Back Cabinet - Opinions Ne

Thanks guys. I wound up getting the cab for $150. I figure it won't hurt to have an extra cab laying around...... Nicklotsaguitars: I fully understand what you're saying. I'm usually the first one to mod a Mesa. I have not modded the ROV25 very much at this time, but even after doing so, I would use...

Speakers for RoadKing 1 Combo???

Last night a friend of mine called me. His truck had been stolen over the holidays and he needed to raise some cash. I bought my old RK1 combo back from him for $1,000. I've discovered that I do not like the Celestion MC90 Black Shadow speaker with Rectifiers. I never was able to dial out the fizz o...

Re: Vintage Rectifier 1x12 Closed Back Cabinet - Opinions Ne

Thanks Elvis! I should have thought to just email you about them.

Think I'll hold out for the new ported cab then.

I'd love to step up to 6L6's, but the 25 watt range is perfect for most of the venues here.
We'll see. Maybe the new Triple Crown will peak my interest.......

Vintage Rectifier 1x12 Closed Back Cabinet - Opinions Needed

Does anyone here remember the small, but deep 1x12 Rectifier cabinet with Vintage 30 speaker? Do they sound good as an extension cab for a combo? I remember having one years ago with a Rev. G Rectifier head. It seemed small sounding and kind of stuffy. A friend of mine wants to sell me one to go und...

WTB: Back Panel for Heartbreaker or Maverick 2x12 combo

I just bought a Heartbreaker combo from Guitar Center.
It is the same tan that the Mavericks came in. I thought it was my old amp, but it is not.

Anyway.....
I need the back panel.
Does anyone have one for sale?

Buster Bass 200 Combo - Internal Crossover Wiring Question

I have a Buster Bass 200 1x15 combo. It sounded great until the power tubes blew..... I got a new sextet of tubes and opened up the cab to make sure that the speaker was still good. Not sure why the tubes blew, they tested good and were fairly new..... The 15" speaker is wired up, but the crossover ...

Re: Rectoverb 25 - External Midi Switching Help Needed!!!

I've been using this particular Control Switcher (I have 2) with an older Digitech GSP1101 and Control 2 footswitch. So far (about 3 years), it's worked perfectly. It has only been set to Momentary though, and not Latching. Yesterday when I started, I made sure that the switch was in the correct pos...
