Studio Pre into ADA Microtube 100

Hey ya all, I'm extremely happy with my Studio Pre going into my old 50/50. I am, however, sending the 50/50 off to be checked out and refurbished - a little preventative maint if you will. Besides, I need a backup power amp. So I picked up an ADA Microtube 100 and am wondering about a few things. B...

Congrats on the Studio Pre! I picked one up a few weeks back myself. Enjoy!

For what it's worth, I'm running with an old 50/50 and absolutely love it!

Decimator Studio Pre 50/50 setup

Hey ya all, I'm new to this rack thing and was hoping some of ya all could give me some feedback on the way I plan on setting things up. I will only be running one cabinet - a 1X12 Roadster - and I will use absolutely no distortion pedals! The only pedal will be a chorus pedal. Guitar to Decimator i...

Using 1 channel on 50/50

Hey ya all, I'm gonna run my Studio Preamp into the 50/50 into a 1/12 Roadster cab. Was reading the 50/50 manual, and it said, "If you wish to use only one of its channels, it is necessary to: 1) Make sure a speaker (or load resistor) remains connected to a speaker jack on both channels, including t...

Studio Preamp: Recording or Main outputs

Some dude on Harmony Central said that when using the studio preamp at home, use the recording outputs into your power amp because it smooths out the tone at low volumes and lowers the output. He said to use the main outputs when playing live and louder. Any experience with this? I'm scared to plug ...

TOOLGUY, The high gain low output tube thing does not affect my cleans at all. I love my Blues Junior and think it has great tone, but I actually like the Mesa cleans better. Not to mention that the Mesa is much more responsive to picking dynamics! I'm quite happy with the gain as well and am confid...

All I can say is...wow... This is my first Mesa, and I just can't believe the tone. I picked up a Studio Preamp off Ebay and immediately retubed it with the high gain low output thing. Scary thing is I'm only running my preamp through a Fender Blues Jr! I've got a Roadster 1X12 cab on the way along ...

Studio Preamp with high gain low output tubes

Hey ya all, Been reading this board for over a year now. I finally found a Mesa I like and can afford! Picked up a used Studio Preamp the other day. It's still en route, but I'll certainly post results when I get it! Anyway, I'm going to retube when I get it. I wrote Eurotubes and asked them about a...
