I struggled to get good tone from either my Road King or my Stiletto Deuce, which seemed to be bit too high and thin for me. I retubed the Stiletto which helped, but I still not quite what I wanted. Road king has by far more range than the Triple rec. But if you don't care about cleans or additional milder tones, then go for the Triple rec. Much cheaper =p

Just as it says..

Looking for some cabs that are either 1/2 close, or 3/4open. I also don't mind 2x12 or 4x12. But i'd prefer a rk 4x12.

But I think you'd be sacrificing clarity. Kind of like an RFT. Both are killer tubes, but they tend to have more of an overdriven sound to them in the clean channel as well as the high gain channels. If you like your clean channel to be crystal clean, I think there are better choices for your V1. T...
