I have a PRS SE Soapbar II that I'm in love with. The wide/fat neck is great. The build quality is wonderful.

It was less than $300 new!

Don't compare it back to back with a real Paul Reed Smith, though.

I don't know, but the new 5:25 1 x 12 combo is supposedly selling for $30 more than the 5:50 1 x 12 combo that I bough last Sunday!

$1199 to be exact.

That's what I paid for a new one four days ago.

That would be a nice deal.

I think my 5:50 1-12" combo weighs about 55 pounds.

I had to lift a MKIV combo off of one to see how it felt to carry. It felt like it weighed a lot less than the MKIV.

About 4 years ago I built a USACG T-Style (Telecaster clone). It has a USACG swamp ash body and a fat, 1 piece, soft "V" maple neck with a 9.5" fretboard radius and 6105 frets. I finished the body and neck in Minwax Wipe On Poly without using grain filler. It has a nice furniture type of finish. You...

I put the purple one that I had on my Princeton Reverb, and later on my tweed Deluxe (5E3) clone, on my 1 day old 5:50 last night.

It was a perfect fit.

I put it on my main amp.

We'll see if it stays.

That's a nice deal! I just bought a 5:50 this past Sunday. I tried the Lonestar special, F-50, 5:25 and 5:50. The Lonestar Special had the best clean sound by far, maybe better than my Vibrolux Reverb! The 5:50 was a close second in that department. I liked the clean sound of the 5:25 the least. It ...

I just bought an Express 5:50 about 7 hours ago! I like the contour on the clean channel. It maked it much more 3D sounding and shimmery. I also have a 1966 Vibrolux Reverb and the clean channel on the 5:50 didn't even come close to it's clean tone until I played with the Contour. It's pretty sweet ...
