Re: The most British sounding of them all - Which Mesa?

I don't think you need a pedal with these amps.
As I have mentioned earlier.... version one of the Stiletto is much more like a Marshall than version two.
Both are good amps.

Pull one preamp tube at a time and replace with a good one...till you find the problem.

Re: The most British sounding of them all - Which Mesa?

2 and 4. Stage 1 of the Stiletto is more like a Marshall. All these amps are Mesa version of English crunch. They don't really sound like any particular English amp. None of the Mesa amps are going to cover the list of sounds you want. They can ballpark that stuff. The Mark V and Rectifier does OK w...

Re: channel volume and loop active master for 2 channel rect

All three of these pots effect the tone. I adjust them to get the tone I want as much as the volume. Really depends on all the other gear being used to get the best results. Just experiment and see what works best with your system.

Re: More MKIV A questions.....R2

I put the BASS on 4 for the Rhy 1 and Rhy 2 on my Mark IV A. The Lead channel usually 2 or 3.

I have played on a A and B....but never side by side.

I always liked all three channels.

Re: New Mesa amp "California Tweed (6V6 4:Forty)"

I think I read on this forum a while back that Mesa was working on three new things. Since then, there has been the Rosette, Fillmore and now this Tweed 4:40. Maybe the Triple Crown was even one (I don't remember the timing of the "three more new amps" comment). Was hoping for a Mark VI somewhere i...

Mesa does excellent work and a great idea to have them go over the amp.
