Re: N A D: TC-100

Wow, what a difference a cabinet makes. With my Recto 4X12 I can see why it’s described as thin, it has a sharp upper mid, and really comes through the mix. In band context ch 2 is a lot more different from the Roadster than I expected, to me it’s much more reminiscent of my modded DSL, but with a m...

Re: Triple crown 100 vs Roadster!?

Welcome to the forum. I think it will boil down to what you want from the amp. I play more ‘Modern Heavy-Rock’, and stay away from lower-gain tones. I’m a huge fan of Mark Tremonti and John Petrucci, both style and tone, and I’ve always searched for that mix of power and precision in my tone & playi...

Re: N A D: TC-100

I don’t find ch 2 thin at all, especially without using tight mode. It actually feels like a lower gain version of my Roadster’s ch 4 modern mode. Granted my Roadster is modded to tighten up the bottom and low mids. I’m going to throw my Xotic EP Boost in front of ch 2 to see how they behave togethe...

Re: N A D: TC-100

I never could totally bond with my MKV. It’s a great amp no doubt, and is much better suited for leads and solo feel, but it always sounds too ‘pointy’, and something about the high mids that seemed shrill to me no matter how I EQ’ed it. I always came back to my Roadster for its heavy modern rhythm ...

N A D: TC-100

First impression..... Holy Crap. Seamless channel switching, thank you Mesa! I can’t wait to get this plugged into one of my Recto 4X12’s. All I have at home is my vertical 2X12’s loaded with Eminence Delta-Pro 12A’s, and I’m blown away with what I’m hearing, and feeling. Channel 2 tight 100W, with ...

Re: Plate Voltage TC-50

It would be interesting to see what Mesa branded 6V6’s run at in that amp.

Re: Ohm question Single rectifier

The Single rec has an 8ohm input and 2x 4ohm inputs. I want to use my 2 EVH 2x12 cabs both 16ohms. Can I plug both of the cabs into both of the 4ohm inputs? Will this harm anything and will i lose any power? Ive searched all over the place for an answer but couldnt seem to find one. Cheers Yes, tha...

Re: 3 channel Triple Rectifier Midi Switching

There should not be any other channel light on except the one you are in. I also use the Voodoo Labs control switcher with my Roadster and never experience that. You need to make sure your MIDI switcher has isolated grounds. Using a common ground connection across the external channel jacks can crea...

Re: Switching From Tremoverb To Mark V 25

Looking for some feedback. I recently purchased a Tremoverb. It’s been a grail amp on my list for a while. However it’s freakin loud, I mean even with my Two Notes Torpedo Captor w/ a 20db cut it’s still too loud for home playing. I have my own house but the wife and baby aren’t enjoying this so mu...

Re: What PEDALS/PROCESSORS work best with 3ch Dual Recitfier

I've been playing on a Rackmount Dual Rec. for over 20 years and when I used the effects loop, I would get this kind of out of phase sound. So I had the parallel loop changed to series and that fixed it. I just got a new blacked out Dual Rec. head which has a series effects loop. And it has the sam...
