Re: Single Rectifier 50 Head with ISP Decimator Issues

I tried to reply to your PM, but the forum tells me 'page not found' when I submitt my message. Yes, the Ebtech unit (the one you linked in the PM) goes between the amp and pedals. You would use both side of the unit. The LLS-2 is a two channel level converter. Each channel has a +4dB jack, and a -1...

Re: Single Rectifier 50 Head with ISP Decimator Issues

Thanks Dom, My amp tech thought the same about being hot. First thing out of preamp section is loop. I will look into the line levelers. Would I need to add dB to the amp side? Already using Fortin 33 boost on front end. The head sounds super killer as long as I keep the preamp below 10 o clock. Wh...

Re: Single Rectifier 50 Head with ISP Decimator Issues

The signal from the Rectifier FX loop is super hot.

I’ve had good luck using the Ebtech Line Leveler.

+4dB on the amp side, -10dB on the loop side.

Re: How to take off the front grill of an OS 4x12?

The front grill is screwed on from behind (inside the cabinet)

You have to take off the back, then you will see the screws holding on the grill.

Re: Road King. Tremolo like volume fluctuations

Just chiming in cause I just grabbed a used RK MK1 and I’m experiencing the same thing. I’ve only had it a week now but was worried a re tube was needed, but from the sounds of it that might not do the trick. Russian preamp tubes in certain positions can cause volume fluctuations. There is a Mesa S...

Re: Roadster and Helix Help

I've been digging about this issue, but I feel like I keep running into dead-ends. I'm currently playing a Roadster and looking to add some form of Helix version (Rack, LT or HX effects) to simplify my having to tap dance on pedals for many things. From what I've been reading a Midi Controller is w...

Re: I am the owner of a new Rectoverb 25, questions about pedals to go with it

Hello I am the owner of a new Rectoverb 25 combo. What are some good boost and overdrive pedals, and treble boosters to use with it? I will use the amp for other than metal stuff . Welcome to the forum. With the Rectos you can’t go wrong with any ‘tube screamer’ type units, TS9, OD808, Boss SD1 etc...

Re: Triple crown 100 vs Roadster!?

I feel the same about my Roadster, I’ll never part with it. But for a weekend warrior player, you can’t beat the simplicity the TC brings to a rig. The TC also does lower volume playing much better than the Roadster, which really needs to be LOUD to sound it’s best.

Re: Triple crown 100 vs Roadster!?

I thought I should follow up on this thread. It’s been a few months now with my TC-100, and I find myself gravitating to that amp over the Roadster as my main gigging amp even after the ‘honeymoon stage’ Since February I’ve gone back and forth between the two amps 5 or 6 times with the band. In the ...

I've been using Russian 12AX7 tubes (12AX7EH and 12AX7LPS) in Mesa Dual and Triple Rectifier Solo heads for years with no problems.
Are you running in Spongy mode, or using the Recto tubes instead of diodes?

Re: Lonestar Classic and EH 12AX7's

I need to replace my preamp tubes due to that annoying microphonic noise. Its been at least six years since they were changed out. Would it be ok to use the Elecrto Harmonix 12ax7's in all 5 positions? I found a good price and I'm on a budget right now so this is one of my only options at the momen...

Re: Mark II fx loop and Boss pedals?

Most stomp boxes are designed for high impedance / lower instrument level signals, like the signal from your guitar. Most FX loops (especially Mesa) are sending a much stronger low impedance (line level) signal through the FX loop. You are overdriving the input of your pedals with the hot signal lev...

Re: Mark V distasteful overdriven buzz

I had a similar experience with my MKV, but to me it was something in the midrange that I just could not get through.... a harshness that if dialed out in the EQ took all the clarity out of the tone and would bring on the mud. Ended up selling the MKV as that was my impression anytime I played it fo...

Re: Mesa Dual Rec Roadster Head- Lost Channel 1/2 AGAIN

Where is the FX Loop send level? If it’s turned all the way down you will be passing very little signal through the FX Loop circuit, even without effects in the loop.
