NCD!!!

Guys and gals, Since this is a Mesa/Boogie forum, I figure most of us have an appreciation for well-designed, high-end equipment. So, I thought some of you might appreciate my belated 30th birthday/graduation gift to myself. I proudly present, for your approval, my 2005 BMW M3, in Silver Grey Metall...

Re: MK V Extreme Less Gain Than IV Setting?

Extreme mode is IV with presence pulled, IIRC. We talked about this a lot when the amp first hit the streets. Been s'long I can't really remember. As I recall, there's more negative feedback in the power section = less gainy feel. It does its thing. Works well for drop tuned stuff. Or you can set up...

Re: Mark V rentals

You need to find a company that rents out PA and sound equipment on a large scale. Most shops won't rent out an expensive, complicated amp like the Mark V out, but backline companies may.

(Yo Mike, how's that cat bone treating you? )

Re: sounded really good today

I've tried several times to get 10w to work, but in my situation it's just not enough. And 90w is so punchy. I have run the whole amp at 45w and it's pleasant. Just something about the feel of 90w does it for me. Maybe if I crammed the 12L back in there...

Re: Wanted: 1" Mesa Casters

Mesa doesn't sell 1" casters. 2", 3", 4". I have a set of 2" casters available, if you are interested. Here is a picture of one of them: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12562911/2014-04-07%2018.46.28.jpg Let me know if you are interested. I've had the set forever but they've barely been used at ...

Re: Need New Speaker For Mark II(A) - Another EVM 12L?

Consider the Altec Lansing 4178H and the Eminence MS-12, two other high-power guitar speakers Mesa put in the early Mark amps from the factory.

Re: sounded really good today

Yeah, I'm pushing some air

I'm in the corner of the sanctuary and unmic'd, but I also keep it set loud so I have a lot of room to be dynamic with my picking. I'm also the only white boy in the house, so I have to roll pretty hard to keep up with the rhythm section. We get down.

Re: Alternatives to PayPal?!?!

Make no mistake. Paypal sucks. I have also sent and received tens of thousands of dollars through paypal, and they suck. But they are the industry standard and eBay requires you use them. If you're weary of Paypal, A US Postal Money Order is the way to go. You could also consider BitCoin. But of cou...

Re: Does the Mark IV sound like the V?

owned both for long times; only for a very particular application would most like the IV more than the V. The V is an all-round better amplifier.
