Re: 3 CH DR Loop Mod

That is correct. The mod doesn't affect the Solo or Master volume, since it's in a different part of the loop. Sweet!! Now one last request and please don't flame me  , can you post the schematic to do it here please? Or is it the same one in the thread that was posted here? Just want to be 1...

Re: Do the stage 2 duece have a decent low end

I think ive said it once in thread but Ill say it again... These amps could really benefit from a depth mod. I ran an Allums GEQ7 in my loop. 100hz +2db, 200hz +1db I didn't find a need to run an EQ when I had that amp. I was using the Tite Gain mode and found that the low end cut through just enou...

Jan notice that her husband Jim been playing golf more often. She was getting suspicious that instead of playing golf, he's having an affair. Jan confronted Jim and asked: "Are you having an affair instead of playing golf. I notice you say you are going to golf course more often now." Jim: "No, I'm...

Should be on the underside of the chassis on a metal tag. It should start with R-XXXXXXX

Re: Roadster combo removing grill cloth

If it's anything like the 4x12 cabs are, the cloth is stapled to a grill that is held in from the back with screws. I tried the Mitchell donut thing, but you need to have the right kind of foam, which I didn't  I tried with regular upholstery foam, and it KILLED the high end from every directi...

Re: 3 CH DR Loop Mod

Yes. Unless you modify the footswitch. Which is also on the above thread I believe. Not exactly. I posted the directions for the footswitch mod, which I found out later are incomplete. There is more than one page for the directions, and I only have the one. So from what I've read, I've come to the ...

Re: Question about my new rev G

I'm going to say '96. I had one built in 10/95 and it was R-006198. I believe the '96 I had was somewhere around 74-7500.

Re: Roadster vs. NEW Dual Recto...

I was facing a similar choice and was already heading towards a Road King II or a Roadster but ended up buying a second-hand 2-channel Dual. And haven't regretted my choice a day. There's absolutely no overlap between it and my Mark V, and most of the time, I need it just for the Vintage/Modern sou...

Re: Which of my Boogie 6L6s to Use?

Great information Mikey - thanks. Good to know I can get the tighter tone if I put that 2nd rectifier tube back in, as I do set to tube rectifier. On the socket order, there's another issue that there are numerous opinions on - almost all threads out there on the subject say the 2 inside ones work ...

Re: Which of my Boogie 6L6s to Use?

It doesn't matter which socket set you use. Both the left sockets are wired in parallel to one side of the output transformer, and the right sockets are wired to the other side of the OT. Also, you don't even need to pull a rectifier tube. If you're using diodes, it won't matter anyway. If you are u...

Re: Which of my Boogie 6L6s to Use?

According to Mesa, their tubes are all the same and don't breakup at different volumes, but we all know that can't be true. Otherwise, there would only be one color code for tubes. Dont'cha just love conspiracy theories? :D Groove Tubes has color codes which define different breakup modes. Somehow,...

Re: Rectifier Bias Mod!!!

For being an adult, you sure act like a butthurt little boy. This isn't HC or UG, so don't start coming in here acting like an asshat. If you're going to get all butthurt over someone's opinion and/or advice, then maybe you should go back to HC or UG or where ever it was that you came from, or just ...
