Re: Tremoverb replacement depth pot

My question wasn't answered actually. Not sure how you missed that. It was actually a just suck it up and pay Mesa response and because I lived somewhere where I should be able to afford it. Nice oh, sorry. I'd contact mesa anyways. They can probably tell you the specs. Plus you never even got a qu...

Re: Tremoverb replacement depth pot

If you can afford Mesa amps & to live in Palo Alto I don't think a $15 pot is going to break you. Just call Mesa. I've had them go through a couple of my amps & their repair / parts prices are actually very reasonable. (including my T-O-V, which got the LDR update & a recap) Oh ok  Ask for he...

Re: Mysterious bolt on Lone Star chassis

Hey folks! New Boogie owner here! I got a Lone Star used and I've always loved the tone! But the one I got has a strong cigarette smoke smell. So, I took the whole amp apart to clean it, and on the chassis, I found a bolt that looked unscrewed. This: not to be a jerk but the first stickied post on ...

Nice!

I agree. I've never purchased any sort of gear at a regular price.

Re: Triple Rectifier Volume Problem

Ok, the other guitarist in my band has a deville 4x10 and I can easily match him with vintage mode. Do you have the 2 or 3 channel rectifier. If it is a 3 channel, does it do the same thing in the 3rd channel?

Re: Triple Rectifier Volume Problem

The Vintage setting is definitely not as loud as the Modern setting, but I've not heard of the volume maxing out at 10-12 oclock as you report.

I'm curious to see what others say. How loud does it get? Is it loud enough to be heard fine in a full band practice situation?

Re: Mesa Mark IV Issues

I've owned a few tube amps from a few different makers and I've never had an issue. I got my Mesa used 10 years ago and it is now 15 years old and going fine. I have little to no knowledge on how to fix amps so if I had the problem you described, I'd have just taken it to the tech first before inves...

Re: Tremoverb for 90's punk tone?

I use my three channel dual rec for 90's punk/emo/post hardcore type tones and I love it. I have never played through a tremoverb but I'm sure it would be great. I have played single rectifiers and I liked the dual better, but that is just my preference so if you have an opportunity to try one out,...

Re: 3 Channel Mesa Dual/Triple Rectifier Users - Questions

It sounds like it may be a C. That serial number falls in between the known serial number cut-off points that Silverwulf has noted that the revision change likely occurred. If you feel comfortable enough to pull out the chassis you can confirm for sure.

Re: Mini recto tones using maple fingerboards

If your maple fingerboard guitar has different pickups than your rosewood counterparts, I think the difference is from the pickups my friend. I bet if I blind-fold you and give you identical guitars save for the fretboards, you could not tell which was maple, rosewood, ebony, richlite etc.
