Re: Dual rectifier - volume levels & warm up question

yea, op i'd say that sounds about right. I let my dual rec warm up at least 10 minutes and it seems like it takes a little bit to get to optimal tone.

Re: Dual rec hissing and crackling

How old is the amp? Preamp tubes can last for a while but if the amp is new to you its probably a good idea to replace them. Is the cable good? Perhaps you messed up the input or some other circuitry while cleaning it?

Re: Two Channel vs. Three Channel Dual Rec/Info on Serial #

Its all about what you like.
I have a three channel and for what I play, (Indie/Rock) I like it better than the 2 channel. I'm not sure about the new multi watt generation as i have not had a chance to play one but I stand by the 3 channel.

Re: Vocal mic options for my makeshift studio

What preamp are you using? If you have a sh!t preamp even the best mic will sound like sh!t. I have a Studio Projects B3 and run it thru a Universal Audio solo 610 Pre. I have a gritty 'grohl-esque' rock voice as well and like the results.
