Re: Dual Rectifier Hisses When Powered On

Hmm, I hear it. Have you been able to figure out exactly where the sound is coming from? Did this happen then before the retube as well? I've never seen any one with this complaint before and I'm more of a hobbyist than a technical person so I couldn't say if it is a big deal, but did you demonstrat...

Re: Rectifier 2x12 cab - Rattling

Definitely the resonance. If you can figure out where it seems to rattle, I'd start trying to secure the grill at that spot or using some foam or something to dampen the noise.

Re: Presence Knob Not Working help!

Check the manual to be sure, but I think for the 3 channel recto, the 2nd channel's presence is optimized for the Vintage setting and the 3rd channel for modern. That may be the problem too.

Re: Dual Rectifier effects loop stuck on.

Have you ruled out a problem with the cable as well?

What happens when you don't have the footswitch plugged in?

Re: Guitar for beginners

You can get a Les Paul Special by Epiphone new for about $150. Great guitar for the value. You could find used Epiphones for about $100 as well.

If you wanted to up the price, you can find used Gibson SGs or LP Studios for under $500.

Re: How to tell Revision version on Triple Rec 3 channel?

Here is the work in progress thread that silverwulf started. http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=72482 Here is the research and data thread he was working off. http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?t=72346 So it may be C+ or E? I'm surprised buyers are asking about the revision. You w...

Re: 150 watt practice amp

Thanks for the reply Deeman. I was wondering if there is actually any harm in running it at such low power all the time just because it's not really what it's made for... My guess is it probably not. Besides, I bought it to use it, not baby it. Thanks again. You won't do any harm playing it at lowe...

Re: 150 watt practice amp

If you like using it as a practice amp and it makes you happy then great! It's a little much for me to use a half stack as a practice amp in my home office, but I'm not you!

Enjoy.

They should last a long time. You could try swapping one at a time and see if you hear any difference.

Re: Is boosting a Recto overrated?

Never boost. Use the love 'em or hate 'em 490r/498t pups.

I will add reverb and or delay to my cleans and I like to mix in chorus and a phaser at times, but no boost.

I use the solo switch if I need a volume boost.
