Re: Little Help Finding A Boost Pedal

How about trying a Visual sound Sparkle Drive? It is an 808 also, and the new models you can mix clean boost with TS808 . The clean is colorless.

Re: Dave Gilmour Tones??

The LSS 5 watt Class A mode is what I am stuck on. Very nice cleans. The reverb is even useable. It has a more organic tone than lets say the Super Reverb, which is either too much or not enuf.

Re: John Mayer Gravity tone using Mesa Boogie LSS and Strat

Thanks tle, I started looking at major pentatonic and noticed that. I tried my TS9 and it boosted, but did not care for the sound. I guess I will try the Sparkle drive. I have thought about buying a Zendrive, but don't want to fork out the clams.

Re: Effects Loop Bypass

I think he meant hard bypass the loop so he could switch in or out the effects in the loop.

Looking at the schematic, a SPST foot switch and an quarter-inch phone plug or 3.5 mm phone jack and wire to run to the foot switch.

Re: Awesome Lonstar Classic tone! How about the LSS?

The LSS has that incredible clean. The reverb is useable and gives your sound more 3dimensional. After the mods ch2 behaves like ch1 with drive. Very nice. Think John Mayer and Gravity tones! Then kick in the ch2 for soaring singing sustain. I have a 65 Super Reverb, 65 Bassman with 2X12 cab. 2 Prin...

How about the Kemper Profiling Amp. It could be a Dumble or Mesa just by listening,

or finding the patches for any amp you want.

I dig your user name also. Good Ale. And mixed with Guiness Stout makes a wicked Black and Tan. I mean no disrespect if B&T offends you.

Yes both pots are 1M but the taper is different. Switching puts the better taper where it should have went in the first place. There are pictures wi the original thread.

Re: John Mayer Gravity tone using Mesa Boogie LSS and Strat

Jon, Thank you and that is great tone, but my guitar with the amp set that way isn't pushed to singing sustain. Will more Gain or Master Gain push me to feedback sustain? When I was tinkering the other day, it seems like too much of either and the sound goes bad. For John Mayer's Gravity the tabs sh...
