You got the cab I would have reccomended, second to the same cab as a 4x12. An EVM 12L in the bottom would be the best. You got a good deal, btw.

You can mix the channels on the Quad, too. Either connect a speaker cable betweeen the footswitch jacks in the rear, or use some fancy footwork. Download the user manual, & it will explain. I'm pretty sure you can get Nomad, Dc tones out of the Quad, but not vice versa. Keep in mind that it's 2 prea...

I can't say if the DC-5 is anything like my 50 cal or not, but my Quad & 50/50 are making me walk funny! I've got about $1,100.00 in the Quad, 50/50, and 1/2 back. A couple of EV's are about all I could think of to improve it. You could do like I did, and pick up the Quad first. You could run it int...

I've got an Epiphone Studio 335 Dot. It's a thin, semi-hollow with a classic shape. The pickups are pretty hot, but handle the clean stuff pretty well. The ES-335 has long been associated with Blues players, Jazz, Progressive Rock, and even Punk. BB King, Lary Carlton, Alex Lifeson, and Tim Armstron...

Now you can get rid of that Ultra Plus. You should probably look for a 50/50 or a 290 power amp to get the most out of a 2 space rack amp. Greg +1 I finally cranked my Quad and 50/50 to 5. The outputs on the Quad were only at 3, and I could feel the concrete floor vibrating. Oh, and the tubes are o...

It's very similar to the preamp section of the Mark IIC+. It was intended to be used with the older Simul-Class 295, or the Strategy 400 power amps. The 50/50 was introduced later, and a lot of Mesa owners say that's the best match for it. I'll let you know as soon as I retube my new to me 50/50. Fo...

Thanks., That was my only concern about buying one without a cable, But I have seen 4 pin XLR cables all over the net, mainly used for lighting. Right now I have a bid on a midi switcher, if i lose the bid I will just get a FU-2. I can say from personal experience, stay away from the 4 pin xlr's us...

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that. Exactly the opposite. Leave the volume low, master cranked. You could raise it up a bit if it's on the clean channel.

Yes. It's probably the best feature of the Studio/Caliber series.

Crank the volume all the way up, and leave the master at 1 for a Santana type breakup. Pick soflty for clean, hard for breakup. You'll have to play with the tone controls.

Cardboard has a "memory". It can survive a drop and come out in much better shape than the product it's protecting. I've dealt with non musical products that have been damaged in transit for many years. This could be a toss up, but the fact that he is ignoring you, and poor packaging tells me that i...

The Channel B was almost nonexistent. First I swapped cables around, and then the speaker jacks in the cab. The next step was to take two of the tubes from the right & swap them with the left. Then Channel B was fine, and channel A was jacked up. I'm pretty stoked about the deal, despite the dent in...
