Re: Stereo issue

Thanks heaps for the wiring Dom. I'm splitting with a Dunlop crybaby from hell. It has a switch to have 1 input and 2 outs both buffered. I've used this with other amps without any issue, but obviously these amps don't like each other or something. If there is anything inside the pedal that I can mo...

Stereo issue

Hey people. I'm still all over my roadster after about a year of owning it but recently I had been hankering for a creamier, smokier (all the food words) tone like I used to have with my egnater tol100. So I went and got another one and am looking into an x-pattern stereo setup with both amps throug...

Am I nuts right now....

....for wanting to trade my lovely Roadster head for a mark v? I don't have the trade set up or anything. But as much as I absolutely ADORE my roadster, I keep wondering if the mark will get me closer to the tone in my head. Or maybe you fine people can guide me towards the light. I'm a bit of a pet...

Re: Roadster with a G-System.. How do I get the best overdrive?

Switching channels is as easy as buying and programming an RJM mini amp gizmo. I would ditch effects altogether if it meant compromising on my godly roadster's drive tones.

Re: Looking at cabs

they're in an x pattern. Also, it's an angled cab which take a little from the bottom end but i want thunderously big lows without multiple cabs....just wondering if it's even possible

Looking at cabs

Hey guys. I'm currently running a Roadster head through an Orange 4x12 w/ 2x v30's and 2x Eminence v12's. My tone is pretty much on the money at the moment although i would like a little more lows from my cab. I run channels 3 & 4 in modern mode (3 for rhythm and 4 for lead) w/ bass on 10 for rhythm...

Smooth that RECTO!!

hey everyone. I'm running a roadster with a Line 6 m13 and i'm just curious to know if anyone can suggest a way to smooth out channel 4 ala Vai? I know the rectifiers are harsh and abrasive but nature, but maybe there's is someone out there that has modded theirs, added a pedal or modded their axe t...

Inspiration!!

Not quite gear-related... What suggestions can you all give me to get over this little writing block i'm having. I have a bunch of riffs i keep playing and a song in my head which sounds very much like Alter Bridge....but i can't get it out. i can't seem to pull it out of my head and i keep playing ...

Problem switching a Roadster with Mini Amp Gizmo

Hey guys. Just purchased an RJM Mini Amp Gizmo to run with my roadster head and i have this problem where i switch between the four channels (after setting up the first four switches to momentary of course) and the "loop" light on my amp comes on but not as bright as if i had turned it on with the s...

Re: Soon-to-be Recto user has a couple questions before buying

to answer your question about the need for the multi-watt.. It's not always NEEDED but a great feature to have. for example, with my Roadster, i didn't buy it for the ability to switch wattage, that was just a cool little addition.....now i personally think it's a necessity as i can crank my amp a l...

Re: New Rectifier Manual

some folks (like myself) don't like salespeople hovering over them. I totally get what you mean though. How hard is it to show someone how to use it properly? But i know that when i walk into a shop intending on trying an amp and probably buying it, if someone is standing there watching my every mov...

Re: roadster volume problem - ch3 and 4

sounds like a preamp tube thing...USUALLY but not ALWAYS, if the amp starts buggering on one 'set' on channels then it's obviously the common denominator.... Looking in the back of the manual, the common tubes used for 3&4 are V2 and V3 (one side of V2 and both sides of V3), so i'd look at swapping ...

Re: FX loop 101

The point i was getting at is the best way to use a parallel loop which in my opinion would relate to... when signal runs through a pedal that is turned on, in most cases (like with delays and reverbs), the tone in that signal is compromised (slightly at least). When you have a "mix" control on one...
