Re: headshells for f50 combo?

you may want to check an aftermarket source. I checked with boogie about 2 months ago on recovering my black taurus F series head, to bronco orange and they said they dont do that. a furthered by saying that they would happily make me one to original spec, but it was about $500+ before shipping by t...

I'd have to agree. you move to quickly and things can be taken the wrong way.

Re: F-Series Discontinued & Tube Stories

I like the contour, it adds a little something to the gain and overall sound. I use clean or contour only. though I will eventually find the plain 2 setting a value. my f100 head is a bit loud for home use.. I do need a speaker attenuator as it seems a waste of an amp at even the 60 watt setting to ...

Re: Looking at an F-100 head

I think you'll like it, I was so enamored with a bronco orange and whicker F-100 half stack 2 years ago that I kept coming back to try it out, I think 3 times in all.. gmps, old charvels, teles. they all sounded nice through the amp . Re: express vs. f-100

the lonestar was indeed a fantastic clean up, but nothing for gain, but then again the model name implies otherwise anyway. Re: express vs. f-100

hey thanks for the info. I have not been over to check out the express yet, but while messing with the f-100 I did tinker with a blond lonestar. the cleans were fantastic but the gain wasnt there for my tastes. so if the express is a hot rod version its still way off. I know there really is no one s...

express vs. f-100

hi guys I am new to the boogie forum. I'll openly say that I do not currently own a mesa product but over the years have had more than my share of vintage marks. about a year and a half ago , I came upon an orange tolexed with cane grill F-100 1/2 stack in one of the stores in my area. I tried this ...
