Re: Mesa Nomad 55 Combo to Head

For the width and depth (front to back of amp) there is no problem as I will just measure from my combo. What I really need is the height and some photos. The reason being I don´t want to make it too "short" otherwise valve changes could be fun (not leaving enough clearance space) and then I wanted...

Re: LSS Reeder? There may be no need-er.

I did the reeder mod. Then put it back to original. I have never had a problem with the mud everyone was talking about and if I did find the bass overpowering I just turned it down. Ive only ever used the 8ohm out in to an 8ohm cab regardless of watts setting. Others seem really happy with the reede...

Re: Possible Mod on Reeder Mod # 1 ????

Lead dress might cause Hum if this mod were added like that. I guess I am curious why Randal hasn't started turning out LSS with the pots swapped. Seems like any improvement would increase their marketability. Ive done all the mods posted here and else where, each time Ive put it back to stock, exc...

Re: Any vids/clips of your LS's live

The clips on my band's (Curtis Bumpy, funk/soul/etc) website were all done with my LSC. The studio songs are all live takes, actually, and back then I had a Weber Blue Dog in my combo... sounded good for the cleans, but I was unhappy with the dirts, so I swapped it back out for the C90 soon after. ...

Any vids/clips of your LS's live

Post them if you have. Be interesting to see what music is being played through them.

Re: Lonestar 100/50 vs 100/50/10 Tone Differences?

Although I respect your opinion and personal experience I dont think my own experience with the two models lines up directly with yours. Ive found slight variations in sound and eq settings on different 10/50/100 amps when a/b'd through the same cab. While the signature sound was indeed the same, th...

Re: Lonestar 100/50 vs 100/50/10 Tone Differences?

Ive played both 10/50/100 and 50/100 models side by side and through the same speakers.
Really didnt notice anything different. They sounded the same to me.
I got the 10/50/100 but never use either the 10/50watt options anyway.

Never mind, I have one on the way. I guess I will find out when it gets here how well it works with the LS.

ED volume a problem for anyone?

Just wondering if anyone has had to move on from the ED because of volume issues?
Anytime I play through one it seems the sounds I like most are at volumes not home or quieter gig friendly.
Just curious to see how others are finding it.

Cheers.

Re: I'm trying to find every reason to stick with Mesa...

I have both the LSC head and the Egnater TM 4100. I run both heads through the same cabs. Theyre quite different. I wouldnt have bought the Egnater if it sounded the same as the LSC. The clean channel doesnt sound like any of the fenders I have or had. The TM seems to be well made and reliable so fa...

Re: Black Shadow MS-12 on a LSC combo or extension cabinet?

Its not a stupid question to ask :) This isnt the busiest forum. I cant help much. I use v30s in a closed back 212 cab. I have tried a g12h100 in a combo. But I dont like the sound of Mesa's combo cabs so no real reference there. I dont find the LS ch 2 too muddy for what I use it for and how Im set...

Re: 220V and Mesa amps in europe/Australia

It's time Aussie shops give us a fair deal, not a ripoff deal. Let's face it, we get ripped off on everything, not just musical gear. Maybe not so much the "shops". One way for an Aussie store to remain competitive with the US is not to have a store front, to just be a warehouse shipping out items....

Re: Finally tried the Lonestar Special today - qeustion

^^^^ We set our amps up very similar. I have both the drive and gain set higher though. I have the master's on the channels low and the out put for overall volume. Apart from the better clarity it seems to help make delays and etc sit better in the mix this way. Or at least the delays I use. I have ...
