Re: Is this amp REALLY worth $3500?

$800 is a fair price to give. The 3500 guy is nuts.

Re: Gibson ES 137 Custom - Memphis

Thats a DC Studio gts. They've got the single wraparound stoptail and the Standard has a TOM or ABR1 and a stoptail. Nice squirrel, huh?

TGP Offline?

Is 'The Gear Page' website [unavailable / offline] for everyone else. I heard they were getting sued by a gtr company, but I doubt if that's the reason. Or maybe it's just my cookies?

Re: Query: What is the attraction of high priced Les Pauls?

As someone above said... once you've played a nice LP that connects to your soul, then you get it. The strongest element in many expensive guitar's value is the "Handmade" factor. An instrument built exclusively by 'one' extremely talented luthier from a block of quality wood to a beautiful musical ...

Re: Best Cabinet for Rectoverb 50 watt Head?

Hard to find used, but a Roadster 2x12 Cab just kicks arse with a 50wRecto. As for your last question... ultimitely I've always believed the lower wattage speakers sound better, but the big EVs and other examples can blow that theory out the window for sure. I would not worry about the 130w speaker ...

Re: Lonestar Special vs. Lonestar

I've had 7 LoneStars now. 5 Specials and 2 Classics. Longheads, shortheads and combos. For best results on either... I found 4X12"s bring a huge performance difference. There's just no comparing the touch sensitivity with the 4X12"s compared to the single 12" or even a single 2X12". And much better ...

Re: New Lonestar owner...now...pedals??

Lately, I've been really digging the combination of an Xotic BB and a Hermida Zendrive together with chan 2 set to clean. And then you've got two nice options with either singularly. Nice looking LS you got, and 1300's a good price.

I like my Carl Martin xII a lot. Very quiet, sturdy and ac powered, plus you can find 'em priced right.

Re: Mills Acoustics Afterburner

jdurso, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume you're pretty happy with that Mills Cab. Griz you have no idea... its almost like i had a paradigm shift in the way i use the Roadster. I played my fingers raw today and I'm loving it. I've had a good two weeks with my gear... between this ca...
